Embark on a transformative journey with our curated 30-day Bible reading plan, designed to illuminate the possible structure woven through the book of Psalms that I am calling “Psalmic Symmetry”. Understanding the Calendar
How to Use the Psalmic Symmetry Reading Plan
Following the Hebrew calendar, which has 30 days in each month, this reading plan guides you through the entire Book of Psalms in 30 days using a simple and powerful pattern following my “Psalmic Symmetry” theory. There are 150 Psalms. Each day, you’ll read five psalms—starting with the psalm that matches the day of the month, then adding 30 four times (e.g., on the 1st, read Psalms 1, 31, 61, 91, and 121). I have found that found that these daily groupings share deep thematic and poetic connections.
Try it yourself, and see how the Holy Spirit speaks to you through the spiritual and literary thread that I observe to be woven through each day’s readings. To begin, simply choose the set of psalms that corresponds to today’s date from the list below. I recommend that you read through the day’s readings and then look at the notes I provide for each day. That way you will not be influenced by my observations before you make your own.
Note: I recommend that you use the Lexham English Bible (LEB) because it uses the name “Yahweh” which the original Hebrew text uses (most modern editions substitute the name “Yahweh” with “LORD”; read here for more on this topic)
